Using digital isolators in precise analog measurement systems - What designers need to care about

Ground shift is a common problem in industrial applications. It is typically solved with optocouplers or digital isolators. In this webinar, we specifically look at the problems which ground shift causes in precise analog measurement systems. In the first part, we demonstrate where these problems come from, show examples which applications are affected and why, and how isolation is solving them.

In the second part, we discuss what a designer of an isolated precision measurement system has to take into account when using digital isolators, such as jitter or propagation delay of the isolator, which can strongly influence the accuracy of a system, and how these problems can be overcome.

Target group: Designers who have to do precise analog measurement and are facing ground shift problems
