Qseven x86 meets ARM – Qseven module with dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU
Presented by MSC
With the Specification update to revision 1.2, the Qseven standard for compact Computer-on-Modules has opened up to non-x86 architectures and specifically to ARM processors. MSC has presented its latest Qseven module with the NVIDIA Tegra290 CPU which festures a dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU clocked at 1GHz. Next to DRAM and Flash memory which is soldered on the module, the MSC Q7-NT2 features outstanding graphics capabilities such as GeForce Open GL ES 2.0 3D Graphics and a Full-HD video decoder. Due to the very low inherent power consumption of less than 5 Watts, the module only requires minimal cooling and can be utilized favorably for such applications as Digital Signage, POS/POI, Multimedia Terminals, Telematics and others. The module is available for the full industrial temperature range.
