Wireless M-bus solutions at 169 MHz

There is an increasing demand from utility companies for remote reading of meters for water usage, electricity etc. and since such meters are often installed in buildings or underground good radio coverage and extended distance range is becoming more important for this purpose.

Dedicated mode N has been defined for Wireless M-bus EN13757-4:2011 operating in the new harmonized frequency band at 169MHz for metering in Europe with long range transmission also available for communication using multi-hop repeaters. Telit has in-house RF knowledge and experience in developing Wireless m-bus standard protocols and offers pin-to-pin compatible modules that support different Wireless M-bus modes for both  EN13757-4 and EN13757-5 operating on 169Mhz and 868 MHz frequencies.
